Michigan From Above
There's a version of the Great Lakes most people never see — the one from 400 feet up, where the water turns impossible shades of blue, where a single sailboat becomes a brushstroke, and where the shoreline reveals its true shape for the first time.
That's the view I chase.
The Story
I'm William Baer, a Michigan-based drone photographer obsessed with the landscapes most people walk past without looking up. Armed with a drone and an eye for light, I've spent years documenting the quiet drama of the Great Lakes — the lighthouses, the open water, the forests, the fog.
What started as a personal project became something I couldn't keep to myself. These images deserved to be on walls, not just screens.
The Prints
Every print in the Baer in the Air collection is produced on museum-quality paper using archival inks — the same standard used by fine art galleries. Colors are rich, detail is sharp, and each piece is made to last decades, not years.
Prints are fulfilled by a trusted print-on-demand partner and shipped directly to your door, carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition.
The Mission
Michigan is one of the most visually stunning places on earth — and most of the world doesn't know it yet. Every print is a small act of advocacy for this amazing place I love.
Perfect for anyone who would like a masterpiece in their home.
